Meet the Prism Specialty Restoration Art of Central Texas Owner

Every Prism location is independently owned and operated by someone accountable for how each claim is handled. At Prism Specialty Restoration Art of Central Texas, that responsibility sits with Kirsten Matetich.

Owner, Prism Specialty Restoration Art of Central Texas

After going through a house fire myself, I know how it feels to see so much of what you love damaged by smoke and water. When my family had our fire, we were lucky that the Prism team took care of our art. Their experts restored, cleaned, and reinstalled it. Years later, I bought the business to carry on the prior owners’ legacy of expert art restoration in Central Texas. We are based in Central Texas in the Austin area, and serve regions from Waco to Corpus Christi, including San Antonio, Wimberley, Fredericksburg, and everywhere in between.

Our team of artists restores torn or damaged paintings, photographs and works on paper, ceramics, metal sculptures, taxidermy, sports memorabilia, and more. Along with fire and water damage restoration and art cleaning, we offer safe packing, moving, climate-controlled storage, and art handling and installation to protect your pieces during a renovation or move. If you have fine art or pieces that simply mean a lot to you, we treat them with the same care.

We provide photo inventories and quick estimates, and work closely with restoration contractors, insurance claims professionals, interior designers, professional organizers, movers, homeowners, collectors, and commercial clients. Whether you’re recovering from a fire or flood or starting an exciting renovation or move, I want to give you the same positive experience my family had with Prism.

Trained to National Standards. Accountable at the Local Level.

Prism technicians operate within a structured, documented workflow designed for insurance claims, not general cleaning or basic contents handling. Every item is tracked, evaluated, and reported with consistency that applies to both large loss projects and residential.

At Prism Specialty Restoration Art of Central Texas, that means every technician follows Prism’s national training and operational standards while remaining locally accountable for execution. That means:

  • Specialty-specific handling protocols for each contents category
  • Photo documentation and condition reporting at intake
  • Restore vs. replace evaluation on every item
  • Direct communication with the adjuster or contractor of record throughout the process
